Empowering the Next Generation

The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the next generation of leaders through our Youth Initiatives. These programs include the Education Excellence Scholarships, which recognize the outstanding achievements of New Mexico’s high school seniors, college students, and non-traditional adult learners, offering financial support for their academic and professional journeys. Additionally, our Youth Summit and Futures Fair empowers high school seniors by providing valuable resources such as financial literacy, college readiness, and networking opportunities with local businesses. Together, these initiatives are designed to equip young individuals with the tools they need to succeed and contribute to their communities.

Youth Summit and Futures Fair

Financial literacy is essential for young people’s long-term well-being, yet many teens and young adults lack basic skills in budgeting, saving, and understanding financial products. This knowledge gap can lead to financial struggles and mental health challenges. Recognizing the importance of financial education, the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce invites you to the 2026 Youth Summit and Futures Fair on March 17th at the Berna Facio Professional Development Center in Albuquerque, NM. This event will equip New Mexico’s high school students (9th-12th grade) and young adults (18-25) with essential skills in financial literacy, career exploration, and college readiness. Participants will engage in workshops, attend a college and career fair, and connect with local resources to help secure their future success.

Program Highlights:
• Interactive Workshops with financial experts and career advisors
• Futures Fair featuring colleges, trade schools, and industry professionals
• Networking Opportunities for personal and professional growth

Education Excellence Scholarships

The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce is proud to offer three types of scholarships for the 2025 Education Excellence Celebration. These scholarships recognize exceptional educational achievement and leadership among New Mexico students. Available to graduating  high school seniors attending higher education or trade schools, as well as undergraduate and graduate students, and non-traditional adults pursuing degrees or certificates, these awards aim to support individuals committed to academic and professional success. The scholarship committee will evaluate applicants based on their academic achievements, leadership qualities, letters of recommendation, essays, and financial need.
